20th Annual Heritage Days at the Depot

The Belton Area Museum Association will host an education day for the 20th year on Thursday, October 3 for Anderson School District Two students and Friday, October 4, for Anderson School District Two 3rd, 4th and 5th grade students.  Homer school students are invited on Friday.

A number of traditional artisans will be on hand, including a Native American Pine Needle Basketeer, a Colonial Life-styles presenter, a West-African and Native American Food Historian & Storyteller, a Davy Crockett re-enactor, a Corn Husk Doll Maker, a Blacksmith, a Long Cabin Builder, a fiber Artist, a traditional Wood Worker, a Cooper, a Bee-Keeper, Revolutionary Ware musicians , and a Quilter.  The artisans will provide demonstrations and an opportunity to relive the skills and traditions of the past.

The general public is invited to attend the presentations on Saturday, October 5 during the Standpipe Heritage and Arts Festival from 10:30 AM until 3:30 PM.
