The Belton Area Museum Association will host an education day for the 20th year on Thursday and Friday, October 2 & 3 for Anderson School District Two 4th and 5th graders and homeschooled students.  Home school groups should contact Abigail Burden at 864-958-5264 to register for the event.

A number of traditional artisans will be on hand, including a blacksmith, cooper barrel maker, bee keeper, quilter, Harriet Tubman and Davy Crockett re-enactors, a Native American storyteller, Revolutionary War musicians, a colonial toy maker, a log cabin/shingle maker, and others.  The artisans will provide demonstrations and an opportunity to relive the skills and traditions of the 18th and 19th centuries.

The general public is invited to attend the presentations on Saturday, October 4 during the Standpipe Heritage and Arts Festival from 10:00 AM until 3:30 PM.
