A work day was held on the Belton Rail Trail on Sunday, September 23. Over 30 local volunteers helped with plantings, signs, clean up and landscaping. The exercise equipment is scheduled to be installed along the trail in the next few weeks and the trail will be open for walkers and joggers.
Progress on the Belton Rail Trail along North Main Street is continuing. Thanks to the efforts of Michael and Lee Gilreath with Earth Materials and Kevin Craft with Industrial Maintenance Service the grading has been completed, crush run has been added for the base and the electrical conduit and wiring are in place. See the pictures below to see the progress!
The County began paving the trail on July 9. Lighting, signage, benches, trash receptacles and exercise equipment along the trail are next.
