Standpipe Heritage & Arts Festival October 6

Prior to the Festival, on October 4 & 5 the Belton Area Museum will host Heritage Days at the Historic Train Depot.  This two-day living history event showcases the skills and craftsmanship of the 18th and 19th century pioneers.  Fifteen heritage skills artisans and historical interpreters will present hands-on presentations to Anderson County school children in grades 2-8

The Standpipe Heritage & Arts Festival will be held on Saturday, October 6 in downtown Belton.  The festival will include:

  • A classic car show
  • A 5K run
  • The South Carolina Men’s Collegiate Championships with players from over 12 schools in the state participating over 2 1/2 days
  • Heritage Days at the Depot with artisans showing their wares will continue
  • Displays and tours at the Belton Museum and South Carolina Tennis Hall of Fame
  • Photography exhibit at the Belton Museum….Portraits:  An Historical Lens
  • Photography contest “Not Your Parent’s Portrait” for high school students
  • Antiques market
  • Standpipe Festival Juried Art Show at the Belton Center for the Arts
  • Mule pulled wagon tours of historical sites in Belton
  • Bouncing slides for children
  • Food, clothing and jewelry vendors with lines all day
  • Great entertainment throughout the day!
  • The best fireworks show yet, sponsored by Waste Connections and the Anderson Regional Landfill
